Tasks Summary

Join an exciting initiative to co-create and develop an intercultural social center in Larache, a coastal city in northern Morocco! This project offers a unique opportunity for volunteers with skills in ARTS, MEDIA, IT, or PROJECT MANAGEMENT, who are passionate about leading workshops and activities that positively impact the local community while immersing themselves in Moroccan culture, language, and daily life. Through Project Ready, two volunteers from Sweden will be selected to participate in this project for 2 months, between 1st of April and 31st of May 2026. All expenses, including flights, accommodation, meals, and insurance, are covered, along with a monthly allowance. This opportunity is exclusively available to young people residing in Sweden, aged 18 to 30. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Volunteer Support: - Travel Costs: Reimbursement or direct assistance with travel expenses between Sweden and Larache, Morocco. - Accommodation: Fully provided by the hosting organization for the duration of the project. - Monthly Allowance: Financial support to cover daily living expenses. - Local Transportation: Assistance with transportation within the local area. - Pocket Money: An additional per diem to cover personal expenses. - Insurance: Comprehensive insurance coverage for the entire volunteering period, ensuring safety and security throughout the experience. Training during the activity Participants receive general and activity -specific training, mentoring, and recognition of learning outcomes – a Youthpass certificate from the European Solidarity Corps. Participant profile We are looking for 2 volunteers who are dynamic, open-minded individuals aged 18 to 30, who are residing in Sweden and have experience in Languages, Sports, ARTS, MEDIA, IT, or PROJECT MANAGEMENT. Ideal candidates are passionate about community engagement and enjoy leading workshops and activities that have a positive impact on society. You should be adaptable, eager to learn, and enthusiastic about working in an intercultural environment. A curiosity for exploring Moroccan culture, language, and daily life is significant, as this role involves cultural immersion and active participation in local life. The host organization venue has several workshop rooms where volunteers can teach and deliver their workshops and activities. Selected participants will have the chance to develop their own projects to share with the local community based on their passion and interest, with support from the host organization in logistics and providing the target group.
