Overview
The Education Technical Assistant will monitor and report on project activities, ensure compliance with plans and NRC standards, and support the quality of education activities.
Tasks Summary
- Monitor and report on project activities and ensure compliance with plans and NRC standards
- Work with community education committees in planning and enrollment
- Distribute and monitor the use of school materials
- Lead training and other project activities
- Assist teachers in their work
- Suggest new methods to improve activity quality
- Report all education-related concerns
- Carry out data collection as required
- Prepare field reports
- Prepare and file relevant documents
- Support monitoring & evaluation activities and report writing
- Record and maintain project specific field documents
- Mobilize communities and beneficiaries for education activities
- Maintain strong work relations with communities and partners
- Contribute to the development of project and thematic materials
- Support Education Coordinator, Officer, and other staff in assessments and surveys
- Support budgeting, accounting, and administration tasks
- Provide translation as necessary
- Abide by NRC security protocols
- Provide trainings on assigned topics
- Support schools, PTSAs, and education offices for field implementation
- Perform other tasks to support the program
Experience Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience from working with NRC education projects in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Strong administrative, accounting and reporting skills
Qualification Requirements
• BA degree with relevant experience necessary
