Overview

The Non-Technical Survey (NTS) Operator will conduct community-level survey activities to identify and assess the impact of explosive ordnance on affected communities in Tigray, Ethiopia.

Tasks Summary

• Conduct assigned NTS activities in coordination with the NTS/EORE Team Lead, ensuring quality and compliance with standards.
• Collect and analyse desktop and secondary data prior to NTS tasks.
• Gather geographic, socio-economic, and impact information on explosive ordnance-affected communities.
• Support pre and post intervention surveys to measure the impact of DRC’s mine action activities.
• Conduct liaison with local representatives.
• Establish and maintain an information network.
• Liaise with EORE facilitators.
• Ensure daily/weekly/monthly NTS reporting is completed and submitted.
• Report issues faced during project implementation.
• Document success stories and lessons learned.

Experience Requirements

• 2 years working experience in related field
• Experience working for Non-governmental Organizations
• Experience and willingness to work in the field in remote and volatile areas

Qualification Requirements

• Vocational school - higher education is an asset
• High school
• NTS qualification

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of the English language (verbal and written) is an asset
