Overview
The consultant will support countries in their sustainable financial and economic transformations, contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals through the adoption and implementation of inclusive green economy and sustainable consumption and production pathways.
Tasks Summary
- Evidence of coordination and support to key project activities, including agenda, stakeholder communications and follow up documentation of the technical validation and feedback workshop with ISLe and national academic institutions on curriculum review needs, and coordination support for the first (virtual) South–South Knowledge Exchange event.
- Evidence of coordination and facilitation of validation processes under the EnABLE and SBA pillars, including agendas, stakeholder communications, or documentation demonstrating organization and follow-up of the validation workshop on Sustainable Infrastructure Analysis and the validation workshop on the Sustainable Budgeting Taxonomy.
- Evidence of oversight and quality assurance inputs to analytical deliverables, including coordination, review comments or supervisory inputs provided to the implementing partner during the preparation of the draft sustainable infrastructure roadmap, the final sustainable budgeting taxonomy report for El Salvador, and/or the final analysis and recommendations on fiscal, legal and regulatory gaps related to infrastructure financing.
- Evidence of coordination and oversight support to the technical assistance and capacity-building workshop on the public finance framework related to sustainable infrastructure. Evidence of participation in the second South–South Knowledge Exchange event, including agendas, mission notes, or related documentation.
Experience Requirements
- More than 5 years of work experience in programme and project management, technical cooperation, and public policy, preferably in UN or international organization context, is required.
- Knowledge of key thematic aeras of inclusive green economy, including economic policies, sustainable development, and the use analytical and qualitative tools, data, research, and analysis, is required.
- Experience liaising with government and other national level stakeholders is required.
- Experience in working in an international and multi-stakeholder context is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
Advanced university degree (Master’s) in environmental economics, international relations/development, public policy, public administration, economics or a related field, is required.
