Overview
The Project Driver is responsible for ensuring reliable and safe driving services for project personnel, officials, and visitors, as well as for the transport of mail and documents. The role also involves maintaining project vehicles and ensuring cost-savings through proper usage.
Tasks Summary
- Driving project vehicles for personnel, officials, and visitors.
- Transporting mail, documents, and other items.
- Accompanying project personnel on field trips.
- Supporting project personnel during workshops and field trips.
- Maintaining daily vehicle logs and assisting with maintenance plans and reports.
- Ensuring day-to-day running and maintenance of assigned vehicle.
- Performing minor repairs and arranging for major repairs.
- Ensuring availability of required vehicle documents and supplies.
- Taking immediate actions in case of accidents.
- Performing other assigned duties.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in Dili and various regions (municipalities) of Timor-Leste.
- Experience working as a driver for international organizations, UN agencies, Government or NGOs.
- Experience and knowledge of driving in the local conditions in all territories including Oecusse.
- Experience driving vehicles for transport staff or authorized officials and visitors within Dili and on field trips to the municipalities and to the villages.
- Experience in daily vehicle maintenance and regular safety checks.
- Experience in providing logistical support in workshops, delivering documents, and processing annual vehicle inspection and registration documents including vehicle insurance.
Qualification Requirements
- High School certificate
- Secondary education is required with valid driving license.
