Overview

Support the smooth implementation of IOM reintegration assistance activities in the country by conducting individual meetings, developing reintegration plans, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.

Tasks Summary
  • Conduct individual meetings with eligible returnees to identify needs and capacities.
  • Support returnees to develop integrated reintegration plans.
  • Participate in remote pre-departure sessions to inform migrants of available assistance.
  • Coordinate with sending missions for reintegration assistance.
  • Refer migrants to specialized services and conduct follow-up.
  • Maintain case files and update information in IOM’s Migrant Management Operational System Application (MiMOSA).
  • Prepare and undertake field missions related to reintegration activities.
  • Support administrative coordination of implementation.
  • Coordinate with government and non-government counterparts.
  • Identify shortfalls in delivery and report to supervisor.
  • Participate in the selection process for Implementing Partners.
  • Participate in activities related to the Community-Based Planning (CBP) methodology.
  • Support organization and implementation of capacity development activities.
  • Prepare reports on reintegration activities and contribute to project proposals.
Experience Requirements
  • Experience in working closely with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relations with government counterparts, local non-governmental partners, international organizations and private sector entities.
  • Experience in return and reintegration, possibly in the framework of AVRR schemes, or experience in other relevant fields such as livelihood or protection programming.
  • Previous experience with UN and International Agencies, international or local NGOs preferred.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited academic institution in economics, management, social work, international relations, Political Science, Humanitarian Affairs, Economic Development, Business or Public Administration, International Studies with three years of relevant experience.
  • School diploma with five years of relevant experience.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in Amharic and English is required (oral and written).

Languages Preferred: Working knowledge of other Ethiopia languages, particularly Afaan Oromoo and/or Tigrigna.
