Overview

This internship focuses on content creation and social media management for UNHCR Venezuela's external communications, aiming to keep audiences engaged with the organization's mandate and activities.

Tasks Summary
  • Create engaging content for platforms such as X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Wordpress and other UNHCR digital channels.
  • Assist with copywriting, video production and editing, and photo editing for social media posts.
  • Support the development of public information messages tailored to different audiences.
  • Contribute to the implementation of social media strategies aligned with UNHCR communication objectives.
  • Monitor social media channels and support responses to comments and messages.
  • Help manage community engagement to strengthen UNHCR’s online presence.
  • Track performance of social media posts and identify high engagement content.
  • Occasional content gathering missions to projects and activities (in Caracas area)
Experience Requirements

Experience in video production and edition, photography and social media management.

Qualification Requirements
  • Be either a recent graduate (having completed their studies within two years of applying) or a current student in a graduate/undergraduate school programme from a university or higher education facility accredited by IAU/UNESCO ;
  • Have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant or of interest to the work of UNHCR .
  • not have exhausted the maximum cumulative internship period with UNHCR, including any prior internships (8 months for full-time and 12 months for part-time)
Other Details

Languages Required: English at B2 level

Languages Preferred: Spanish (native speaker)

Contract Duration: Six months

Work Modality:

Remuneration: Interns who do not receive financial support from an outside party will receive an allowance to partially help to cover the cost of food, local transportation and living expenses. UNHCR reimburse interns engaged from a location outside of the country of the duty station for the ticket costs of their outward and return travel to/from the duty station by the most economical route available on economy class, irrespective of the duration of the journey.
