Overview
The Chief IT Governance Officer ensures that the ICT Executive Directorate operates under a coherent, transparent, and performance-driven governance model. This role establishes and monitors the management framework to plan, deliver, and measure strategic and operational objectives.
Tasks Summary
- Define, maintain, and promote the ICT governance framework.
- Oversee the governance of information security within the Directorate.
- Lead the PMO and the Agile Competency Center.
- Oversee ICT business planning, budgeting, and financial governance.
- Direct the CDO, responsible for the governance, quality, protection, and lifecycle management of INTERPOL’s data assets.
- Ensure strong alignment between governance, technology, and operations across the ICT Executive Directorate.
- Oversee ICT risk management processes.
- Ensure that the Directorate’s performance and governance maturity are systematically measured and improved.
- Lead communication and change enablement initiatives for the ICT Executive Directorate.
- Represent the CIO in governance, audit, or organizational coordination meetings when required.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in ICT governance, policy management, data governance, or project portfolio management.
- Proven experience in implementing and maintaining ICT governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL, ISO).
- Experience in leading PMO or data governance functions in an international or complex environment.
- Familiarity with risk management, audit coordination, and compliance monitoring.
Qualification Requirements
- At least 5 years University education in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certifications such as COBIT, ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or Data Governance (DAMA, DCAM) are assets.
