Overview

Provide strategic and hands-on technical leadership for the design, localization, testing, delivery, and quality assurance of Learning through Play (LtP) content and training approaches targeting teachers, caregivers, and children in refugee and host community contexts.

Tasks Summary

• - Provide strategic and hands-on technical leadership for the design, localization, testing, delivery, and quality assurance of Learning through Play (LtP) content and training approaches.
• - Ensure that PlayMatters’ LtP interventions are pedagogically sound, inclusive, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based play-based learning principles.
• - Remain adaptable to diverse humanitarian and development settings.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in content/curriculum development/adaptation, testing and training for BA and 3 years in BA.
• Demonstrated success in developing educational/training content and delivery.
• Demonstrated experience integrating EiE approach into various EiE models. I.e.Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) and play-based learning approaches.
• Proven experience promoting disability inclusion and adapting learning approaches for children with diverse learning needs.
• Experience working with government education systems, teacher education colleges, and humanitarian coordination mechanisms.

Qualification Requirements

MA/BA degree from an accredited university in education, curriculum development, or related field.

Other Details

Languages Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic, an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications.

Languages Preferred: knowledge of local languages is an asset
