Overview

Provide general administrative support services to Fire Safety / Security Officers and assist with data consolidation and dissemination of security information.

Tasks Summary

• Provide general administrative support services.
• Assist with data consolidation and dissemination of relevant security information.
• Assist with the preparation of security related documents.
• Draft correspondence and maintain records for Unit's Training Courses.
• Provide support during the implementation of the Security Plan.
• Assist in reviewing logistics requirements for training courses, drills and security exercises.
• Assist on monitoring the implementation of security policies and procedures.
• Provide support in organizing and conducting security awareness and preparedness activities.
• Provide security orientation to newly assigned staff members.
• Conduct regular fire safety inspections of premises.
• Test, clean, inspect and maintain fire and rescue equipment.
• Respond to scenes of fire or rescue incidents and carry out operations as directed.
• Perform any other task given by the Chief Security Officer and Head of the Unit.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in Security or related areas such as Police and Military experience is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to one (1) year for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher. Working experience in Administration and Logistical Support is desirable.

Qualification Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Valid driver's license is required.

Other Details

Languages Required: English and Somali are required.

Languages Preferred: Certificates in advance driving / armored vehicle driving is desirable. Certificate in specialized security training / courses is desirable.
