Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Institutional Analyst

Overview

The Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Institutional Analyst will contribute to the coordination and technical advice for a project focused on scaling up climate-resilient flood risk management in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Tasks Summary

• Contribute to the coordination of project activities, including preparing work plans, supervising personnel, organizing activities, and providing secretariat services to the Project Board.
• Provide technical advice and support to project activities, including developing and implementing early warning systems, capacity development plans, and flood protection measures.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on project deliverables, including progress reports and financial reports.
• Coordinate knowledge management and ensure gender equality is mainstreamed throughout project activities.

Experience Requirements

• Applicants with a Master’s degree are not required to have professional work experience.
• Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in project implementation at the national or international level.

Qualification Requirements

• Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Civil engineering, Environmental, Technical related studies or other related disciplines is required.
• A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with additional two years of experience will be given due consideration in lieu of advanced university degree.

Languages Required: Fluency in English and any of the languages of people of BiH (Bosnian, Croatian or Serbian) is required.
