Overview
Project Associate to provide programmatic, administrative, and technical support for project implementation, focusing on disability determination reform and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
Tasks Summary
- Provide support to the Project Analyst on all programmatic, administrative, and technical aspects of projects.
- Develop and implement work plans for project components.
- Support vendors and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Coordinate activities with line ministries and institutions.
- Promote coordinated actions among stakeholders and ensure smooth communication.
- Provide technical inputs and advice on project document preparation and implementation.
- Support the preparation of regular progress reports.
- Coordinate and exchange information with other clusters in the Office.
- Support the development and implementation of project communication and visibility plans.
- Support knowledge building and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the preparation of project documents and plans.
- Implement action plans and assigned tasks, including field visits and monitoring.
- Assist in identifying relevant expertise for project implementation.
- Inform the Project Analyst of any issues arising during project implementation and advise on adjustments.
- Provide logistical and coordination support for project meetings, events, and study visits.
- Support procurement-related activities in line with UNDP rules.
- Support the coordination and implementation of recruitment and deployment of experts.
- Support the formulation and update of project risks, issues, monitoring, evaluation, and targets.
- Draft correspondence, meeting minutes, and other documents.
- Liaise with national and international stakeholders and partners.
- Assist in promoting project visibility.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 7 years (with secondary education) or 4 years (with Bachelor´s Degree) of relevant project coordination working experience.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc), advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages.
- Experience in working in the area of inclusion of people with disabilities (desired).
- Experience in developing project proposals (desired).
- Experience in project coordination, reporting and project monitoring and evaluation (desired).
- Experience in working in the area of institution building and strategic planning (desired).
- Experience in working on projects implemented in cooperation with international organizations, government institutions, private sector entities, or civil society organizations (desired).
- Experience in incorporating gender equality into projects (desired).
Qualification Requirements
- Secondary education is required.
- University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in Social Sciences, preferably in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Public Policy or a related field will be given due consideration but is not a requirement.
