Individual Consultant - Develop Guidelines for National Information Centres in the Asia-Pacific

Overview

Develop updated guidelines for National Information Centres in the Asia-Pacific region, aligning with contemporary higher education landscape changes and international conventions.

Tasks Summary

• Undertake desk review and develop inception report.
• Develop presentation of initial findings and case studies.
• Co-facilitate consultation meetings with experts and APNNIC members.
• Develop first draft of updated guidelines.
• Incorporate feedback into revised draft of guidelines.
• Co-facilitate validation workshop to finalise guidelines.
• Ensure guidelines comply with UNESCO style manual, gender-neutral language, and copyright policies.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in international cooperation in higher education within the Asia-Pacific context.
• Experience of producing academic and policy publications on higher education (e.g., mobility, qualifications recognition, quality assurance, internationalisation).
• Demonstrated expertise in collaborating with governmental bodies on related research and regional consultations.
• Experience of organising and facilitating online consultation meetings.

Qualification Requirements

• Advanced university degree (minimum master’s degree) in higher education administration and management, education policy or related field.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of languages of the Asia-Pacific region.
