Overview
Support UNICEF and partner municipalities in the operationalization and effective implementation of parental engagement programmes, including the Father Involvement Programme and the Parent Engagement Programme.
Tasks Summary
- Assist teachers in developing monthly parental engagement plans.
- Conduct on-site supervision visits.
- Provide constructive feedback during parental involvement sessions.
- Respond to teachers’ inquiries remotely and in person.
- Deliver face-to-face training sessions for teachers on parental involvement.
- Support teachers’ professional development with training on parental engagement.
- Provide on-site supervision support to teachers to conduct parental engagement sessions.
- Provide feedback to teachers’ parental engagement plans.
- Conduct focus group discussions with teachers and families of 0-8 children to understand their recommendations on improving fathers' engagement.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional experience in early education and working with children, teachers, and families.
- At least 10 years’ experience in developing training modules and educational resources for teachers, parents and administrators.
- Proven experience in developing training content and delivering training for ECE staff.
- Experience in designing parental engagement programmes for parents and caregivers is an asset.
- Prior experience in working with municipalities, ministries, international organizations, etc. will be considered as an asset.
Qualification Requirements
• PHD degree in Early Childhood Education is required.
