The position is in the United Nations Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Statistics Analysis Unit. The internship involves assisting with statistical compilation and dissemination, including data maintenance, automation, and analysis.
No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Experience in data processing and basic statistical analysis is desirable. Experience in conducting research and drafting reports on science, technology, and innovation issues, esp. in developing countries is desirable.
Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent). Should be computer literate in standard software applications.
Languages Required: Fluency in spoken and written English is required for this Internship Programme.
Languages Preferred: Knowledge of French is desirable.
Contract Duration: 15 Jun 2026 - 14 Sept 2026, with an opportunity for extension for a maximum period up to six months.
Work Modality: in-person basis
Remuneration: The Internship Programme is unpaid. All costs of travel, accommodation, medical insurance and living expenses must be covered by the intern.
