Overview
The Partnership Expert will provide strategic technical expertise to facilitate engagement between ECOWAS/AES entities and UNICEF, and perform day-to-day liaison functions with ECOWAS/AES. The role aims to strengthen UNICEF's strategic partnerships with regional intergovernmental organizations.
Tasks Summary
- Provide strategic technical expertise to facilitate engagement between ECOWAS/AES entities and UNICEF.
- Perform day-to-day liaison functions with ECOWAS/AES and follow up UNICEF engagement.
- Provide technical expertise to implementing agreements reached with RECs, instigating new partnerships.
- Monitor and participate in key sub-regional activities for West Africa.
- Provide inputs for core documents and reports on UNICEF’s partnership with ECOWAS/AES.
- Assist the UNICEF Representative in Nigeria in her/his role as accredited Representative to ECOWAS.
- Undertake any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.
Experience Requirements
- Seven years of progressively responsible experience in the development field and/or in a global private sector company.
- Experience at the regional level, including exposure to complex multi-stakeholder partnerships.
- At least three years’ experience in policy and strategy development design and implementation.
Qualification Requirements
Master's degree in Economics, Political Science, International Relations/other Social Sciences, Public Health, Education or other areas related to UNICEF work.
