Overview
The Plumber (Sanitary) role involves independently carrying out all plumbing activities, including assembly, installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of sanitary equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with Austrian Standards, rules, and regulations.
Tasks Summary
- Assembles, installs, maintains, tests services and repairs sanitary equipment or systems.
- Installs, tests, maintains and repairs piping and drainage systems.
- Inspects, services and repairs water treatment systems.
- Recommends spare parts and materials to be ordered.
- Coordinates with contracting firms and colleagues.
- Assists in the development of the yearly work plan.
- Provides technical guidance and training to colleagues.
- Records relevant information in the Facility Management Electronic Work Order Platform.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in sanitary plumbing.
- Proven experience in assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing sanitary equipment and piping systems.
- Knowledge of Austrian standards, rules, and regulations for plumbing and sanitary work.
- Experience in leading a small team.
- Experience/proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), internet.
Qualification Requirements
- Completed compulsory education and completed apprenticeship and journeyman certificate (“Gesellenbrief”) in Plumbing or completed higher technical school (HTL) with relevant practical experience in plumbing.
- A Foreman certificate is an asset.
