Overview

Provides planning and implementation support for capacity-building, awareness-raising, and technical support related to the ABS Clearing-House. Supports the administration and implementation of the ABS Clearing-House and manages systems to track progress and engagement.

Tasks Summary
  • Provides technical assistance to government officials and stakeholders on the ABS Clearing-House.
  • Monitors progress related to national implementation of the Protocol and capacity-building efforts.
  • Ensures communications, outputs, and services are categorized, updated, and recorded.
  • Develops and maintains collaboration with users of the ABS Clearing-House.
  • Performs review and analysis of official submissions from governments.
  • Assists in the preparation and drafting of communication materials.
  • Provides assistance in the coordination and preparation of trainings and webinars.
  • Contributes to the preparation of official documents, reports, proposals, and budgets.
  • Performs user testing of the ABS Clearing-House functionality and related IT systems.
  • Coordinates and supports the translation of the website.
  • Prepares, maintains, and updates files and internal databases.
  • Drafts correspondence and communications related to the ABS Clearing-House.
  • Maintains and manages the system to track bugs, issues, and support requests.
  • Provides statistics, reports, and analysis of the issue tracking knowledge base.
  • Supports monitoring and evaluation of the ABS Clearing-House and related activities.
  • Assists with data collection and analysis for information sharing and reporting.
  • Assists with visualizations and updating information material.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in programme or project management, environmental management, biodiversity conservation, sustainable development or related areas is required.
  • The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to two (2) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, is required.
  • Experience in communications, user experience, or related functions within an international or multicultural organization is desirable.
  • Experience in web development, business analysis, requirements gathering, web design, user acceptance testing, or related areas is desirable.
  • Experience with Access and Benefit-Sharing (ABS) processes, including practical use of the ABS Clearing-House platform, is desirable.
  • One (1) year or more experience in data analytics or related areas is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Supplementary training in administration, programme and project management or related field is required.
