Overview

The Plumber (HVAC) is responsible for carrying out HVAC plumbing activities, including installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems and equipment, as well as assisting with electrical/building automation maintenance.

Tasks Summary
  • Assemble, install, repair and maintain HVAC systems and equipment such as pumps, blowers, valves, heat exchangers and air filters.
  • Carry out work related to electrical / building automation maintenance and repair.
  • Set-up test procedures for verification of equipment system performances.
  • Check operation and condition of equipment by analyzing and evaluating operation parameters.
  • Repair various equipment such as motors, pumps, fans, valves.
  • Check automatic pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
  • Coordinate with contracting firms and colleagues.
  • Assist in shutting down and restarting different kinds of plants.
  • Recommend spare parts and materials to be ordered.
  • Support the Team at the planning and implementation of projects and renovation work.
  • Record all the relevant information related to the work assigned in the Facility Management Electronic Work Order Platform and update electronic documentation.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3 (three) years of relevant experience e.g. Maintenance/Installation of air handling units or heating systems is required.
  • Knowledge of basic autogenous welding skills is desirable.
  • Computer knowledge of MS Office applications, including email and Word.
Qualification Requirements
  • Completed secondary education and completed apprenticeship and journeyman certificate (“Gesellenbrief”) as Plumber.
  • Alternatively, completed technical institution / higher technical school (HTL) with relevant practical experience as HVAC Technician / Plumber.
  • Certification as HVAC Plumber required and certification as Electrician is desirable.
