Overview
Support the planning, organisation, and facilitation of UNAMA-led events, monitor political developments, and maintain coordination with stakeholders to promote women's participation in sub-national processes.
Tasks Summary
- Collect, select, and analyse information from diverse sources.
- Support the planning, organisation, and facilitation of UNAMA-led roundtables, political outreach events, and community discussions.
- Monitor political developments at the provincial and district levels.
- Maintain coordination and engagement with female stakeholders.
- Engage with the private sector to promote women’s participation in public affairs.
- Keep abreast of events relating to political issues.
- Support the development and maintenance of profiles and databases.
- Conduct regular meetings with community representatives, political and civil society actors.
- Receive and process information from communications and publications.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, drafts, briefing notes, background papers, and talking points.
- Provide interpretation between English and Pashto/Dari during meetings and translate documents.
- Identify the needs and priorities of women and girls, contribute to drafting project proposals, and participate in outreach activities.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of three years of experience in collecting and analyzing political, social, and community-level information.
- Skilled in supporting outreach, meetings, and stakeholder engagement, including women’s participation initiatives.
- Post secondary training in political affairs, law, humanities, or a related field desirable.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Political affairs, governance, development and humanitarian affairs.
