Overview
The role involves evaluating a project focused on integrating gender equality into the UNCCD, assessing its performance and results to inform future actions and enhance the effectiveness of UNCCD's gender equality initiatives.
Tasks Summary
- - Prepare an inception report including project framework modifications, detailed evaluation questions, a work programme, and a tentative schedule.
- - Develop a preliminary summary of the draft evaluation report, presenting main findings, conclusions, and recommendations for factual checking.
- - Produce a final report with detailed analysis of findings, lessons learned, and recommendations.
Experience Requirements
- - Professional expertise as an evaluation team leader or similar in evaluating development cooperation projects, including in the UN context is required.
- - Knowledge of international cooperation concerning topics relevant to this assignment (gender equality, land governance, land restoration, sustainable development treaties) is required.
- - Experience in producing high quality written reports is required.
- - Knowledge of the UNCCD and/or the other Rio Conventions will be an asset.
Qualification Requirements
- Masters degree in fields relevant to this assignment is required.
