Overview
Support the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education section’s Access programme in the Country Office, along with contribution to support the Education team in the field offices working on Access to Education.
Tasks Summary
- Provide technical and administrative support throughout all stages of programming processes.
- Support preparation of technical reports and provide inputs for programme preparation and documentation.
- Contribute to the development/establishment of sectoral programme goals, objectives, strategies, and results-based planning.
- Monitor and report on the use of sectoral programme resources.
- Work closely and collaboratively with internal colleagues and partners to collect, analyze and share information on implementation issues.
- Suggest solutions on routine programme implementation and submit reports.
- Undertake field visits and surveys and share information with stakeholders.
- Provide technical and operational support to government counterparts, NGO partners, UN system partners and other country office partners/donors.
- Build and sustain effective close working partnerships with government counterparts and national stakeholders.
- Research information on potential donors and prepare resource mobilization materials and briefs.
- Provide support in identifying, capturing, synthesizing, and sharing lessons learned.
- Apply innovative approaches and promote good practices.
- Research, benchmark and report on best and cutting-edge practices.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in programme planning, implementation and management in education.
- Experience working in Nigeria or other sub-Saharan countries.
- Experience in working for a UN agency or an international organization.
- Competencies in coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders such as government and donor partners.
- Demonstrated skills in managing budgets
Qualification Requirements
A university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, psychology, sociology, or another relevant technical field.
