Overview

The role supports the development and implementation of joint program activities to align development financing with inclusive and resilient transitions, generating public-private evidence to inform policy and increase climate-smart investments in small-scale production units.

Tasks Summary
  • Support the characterization of small producer organizations identifying financial gaps and risks.
  • Strengthen the capacity of shortlisted organizations to structure and present credit applications.
  • Design and implement an institutional and social outreach process to consolidate a long list of grassroots organizations.
  • Identify institutional buyers, governments, and associations that could be candidates for credit.
  • Reduce the list to associations that meet the Facility's criteria and have the possibility of obtaining credit.
  • Contribute to the development of a multidimensional financial diagnosis.
  • Accompany shortlisted associations in the credit application process, potentially supporting business plan design and financial technical support.
  • Design a virtual financial technical strengthening cycle for small producer organizations.
  • Accompany the management for access and sustainable positioning of small producer organizations in institutional markets.
  • Coordinate the consolidation of information generated during the demand diagnosis phase.
  • Provide input for the joint design of financing product models.
  • Perform other technical activities related to the role.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in designing financial products for the rural/agricultural sector.
  • Demonstrable experience in articulation with formal financial system entities (banks, development funds, cooperatives).
  • Knowledge in credit risk assessment methodologies for small producers (scoring, cash flow analysis, alternative guarantees).
  • Experience in financial capacity building of grassroots organizations (cooperatives, associations, employee funds).
  • Desirable experience in preparing reports, knowledge documents/publications, and high-quality written communication instruments.
  • Solid computer skills, including advanced use of various Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), logistics management, and familiarity with database management and office technology equipment.
Qualification Requirements
  • Completion of secondary education.
  • Desirable, professional degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Financial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Desirable specialization/Master's degree in Banking, Rural Finance, Financial Inclusion, or Economic Development.
Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in oral and written Spanish

Languages Preferred: • Intermediate level of English desirable

Contract Duration: 6 months, renewable

Work Modality: With availability to travel to project influence municipalities.
