Overview

The role focuses on defining policies, standards, telemetry requirements, detections, and governance for network and IoT security. The incumbent will shape the design authority, telemetry architecture, and operational reporting for WFP’s Network Detection and Response capability.


Key Responsibilities
  • Validate and monitor network and IoT security policies.
  • Specify telemetry, profiling, and enrichment requirements for Detection & Response.
  • Develop and tune detection logic for network borne threats.
  • Maintain governance for approvals, exception handling, fallbacks, and audit trails.
  • Coordinate periodic IoT vulnerability scans and security controls.
  • Create dashboards and reports on coverage, trends, and performance.
  • Oversee vulnerability assessments for defined IoT classes.
Required Experience

At least 5 years in cybersecurity or network architecture or security policy network engineering with a track record of designing network and IoT security controls and driving implementation. Prior experience defining NAC posture, segmentation patterns, and DNS layer policies is preferred. Experience with network telemetry pipelines or Network Detection and Response tooling is highly desirable.

Qualifications

University Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer or Network Engineering, or a related field; or a combination of relevant experience and education.

Intermediate knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language desirable: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, and/or WFP’s working language, Portuguese.
