Overview
The role supports the Country Office's Supply Chain Unit in coordinating logistics services and strengthening external service delivery, focusing on partner engagement and national coordination mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of logistics coordination mechanisms.
- Assess logistics capacities, gaps, and bottlenecks.
- Establish strong partnerships and ensure inclusive and well-coordinated stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate external logistics services (transport, storage, customs clearance, fuel).
- Support national coordination mechanisms by participating in OCHA-led inter-cluster forums.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of SOPs for external service delivery.
- Ensure timely collection, analysis, and dissemination of logistics data.
- Strengthen national ownership of logistics operations.
- Contribute to contingency planning and preparedness.
- Facilitate partner engagement through effective communication channels.
- Support the implementation of UN80 Integrated Supply Chain Reforms.
- Support fundraising and reporting efforts.
- Mobilize and manage financial, human, and material resources.
- Promote continuous improvement in service delivery.
Required Experience
At least 3 years of progressive professional experience.
Qualifications
Advanced university degree, preferably in supply chain management, economics, commerce, business administration, logistics, or a related field, OR a first university degree with 3 additional years of relevant experience.
