Overview
The UN Country Coordination Specialist will support the UN Resident Coordinator's Office in the Marshall Islands to strengthen coordination and coherence of UN operational activities and assistance with national development priorities.
Tasks Summary
- Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects.
- Support country-level planning of UN programming aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
- Coordinate and organize technical capacity building workshops.
- Provide strategic guidance and support in the development and implementation of partnerships and resource mobilization strategies.
- Draft analytical inputs and briefs and provide technical support for policy integration.
- Assist in policy development, including review and analysis of issues and trends.
- Draft written outputs for the UN Communications Strategy and UN Communications Group.
- Provide substantive support to consultative and other meetings.
- Undertake outreach activities and make presentations.
- Participate in or lead field missions.
- Coordinate activities related to budget and funding.
- Support admin, finance and logistic processes of the coordination related aspects of the UN Office.
- Perform other duties as required.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience providing strategic or technical support to partnerships, project/programme management, coordination activities, fundraising/resource mobilization or development finance in development or humanitarian contexts.
- Relevant experience 3 years
Qualification Requirements
Master's degree in International Law, management, economics and/or business.
