Overview

The Pharmacist will conduct a Medical Products Market Assessment focusing on Supplier Validation and provide technical advice on quality control and assurance systems for medical products.

Tasks Summary

• Conduct a Medical Products Market Assessment focusing on Supplier Validation.
• Coordinate with health partners on selection of reliable suppliers.
• Provide technical advice on quality control and assurance systems for procurement, supply chain management, distribution and storage of medical products.
• Train health partners in quality assurance tools and checklists for locally procured pharmaceuticals.
• Promote best practices for maintaining quality during storage and transport of medical products.
• Deliver technical support to UNFPA and its Implementing Partners by participating in Technical Evaluation Committees for the procurement of pharmaceuticals and/or medical devices.

Experience Requirements

• At least three years’ related experience in managing emergency Health and Pharmacy logistics supply operations and outbreak response support in international organizations/institutions.
• Demonstrated experience in pharmaceutical management.
• The candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of the regulatory framework governing medicines, including FDA requirements.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, quality control and quality assurance of pharmaceutical commodities, supply chain management.
