Overview

The Assistant Supply Storekeeper is responsible for controlling and accounting for property and supplies within the warehouse and storage sites. The role involves assisting with administrative duties, inputting requests into financial or logistics software, and providing customer support.


Key Responsibilities
  • - Serves as first reviewer of all requests for purchase of services or supplies and provides initial document control number.
  • - Assists with administrative duties associated with control and accountability of internationally owned and procured, non-expendable property.
  • - Inputs approved requests into the NATO Financial or Logistics software and receives, distributes/issues items.
  • - Assists in providing supply, customer assistance and accounting support.
  • - Works with and provides initial training for new personnel on NATO Logistics and Financial systems.
  • - Maintains accurate records of requisitions and payments.
  • - Assists in planning and ensuring uninterrupted supply service on exercise and in deployment locations.
  • - Maintains and updates files and records.
  • - Follows safety directives and Host Nation laws.
  • - Assists in the preparation of financial or property accounting reports and returns.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of accounting experience in the fields of logistic and/or finance within a civilian and/or military organization combined with computer administrative tasks.
  • Experience controlling assets in one or more significant areas, ensuring administration of acquisition, storage, distribution, movement and disposal of assets.
  • Experience producing performance indicators of NATO assets and verifying asset status and location.
  • Knowledge of Supply management.
Qualifications

• Higher Secondary education and intermediate vocational training which might lead to a formal qualification with 2 years' experience, or Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 4 years post related experience.
