Overview

The Protective Security Assistant applies and maintains specific security controls, communicates security risks, and provides expert advice on implementing personal data legislation controls. The role involves day-to-day administration and execution of CSSC OoS operations with emphasis on various security aspects.

Tasks Summary
  • Applies and maintains specific security controls as required by organisational policy and local risk assessments.
  • Communicates security risks and issues to business managers and others.
  • Contributes to the development of policy, standards and guidelines related to personal data legislation.
  • Provides expert advice and guidance on implementing personal data legislation controls in products, services and systems.
  • Receives and responds to routine requests for security support.
  • Maintains records and advises relevant persons of actions taken.
  • Provides administrative support function to teams and meetings.
  • Takes an active part in team meetings.
  • Perform day-to-day administration and efficient execution of the CSSC OoS operations, with particular emphasis on Physical, Personnel, Industrial and overall Business security, as well as security of information, access control, visitor(s) management, CIS security, emergency planning and response;
  • Maintain CSSC Personnel Security records information in EBA, ensuring staff possess appropriate level of security clearance for the post they are required to fill.
Experience Requirements

2 years post-related experience with higher vocational training in a relevant discipline (such as Security, Telecommunications Security, Computer Sciences, Cyber Security, Forensics Security, Cryptographic Security, or information Assurance specialization); or 4 years post-related experience with a secondary educational qualification; Proven experience in monitoring the performance of CIS project; Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in conducting risk assessments, identifying security vulnerabilities, and implementing corrective actions; Comprehensive understanding of military and governmental INFOSEC, COMPUSEC, and SECOPS security policies, standards, and procedures; Knowledge of Personnel and Physical Security processes and procedures; Knowledge and experience of handling Security related Office tools.

Qualification Requirements

Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline (such as Security, Telecommunications Security, Computer Sciences, Cyber Security, Forensics Security, Cryptographic Security, or information Assurance specialization); or a secondary educational qualification.
