MEAL Officer-UNOCHA

Overview

The MEAL Officer will ensure timely data and information collection and quality control for project data. The role supports the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and tools.

Tasks Summary

• Contribute to the development of a conceptual framework and a comprehensive PMP.
• Support and supervise a comprehensive baseline study.
• Support the annual evaluation process and mid-term evaluation.
• Organize and supervise the final evaluation.
• Develop and support the development of comprehensive M&E tools and databases.
• Participate in project data quality control and support gap resolution.
• Consolidate project data and generate project indicators for regular reporting.
• Formulate recommendations on data collection, tools, and processes.
• Document lessons learned from monitoring and evaluation.

Experience Requirements

• Three years of experience in monitoring and evaluation.
• Demonstrated experience in data collection and analysis.
• Familiarity with different types of databases.
• Proven skills in training colleagues and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated knowledge and reporting in data analysis.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in statistics or equivalent field.
• Good knowledge of data management applications: Access, Epidata, SPSS or equivalent.
