Overview
This invitation for bids concerns improvements to tourist amenities in Sigiriya as part of the Sustainable Tourism Sector Development Program (Subprogram 1).
Tasks Summary
- Walkway improvement;
- Lake improvement;
- Car Park improvement; and
- Facility improvement.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum average annual construction turnover of LKR 1,250 million, calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last 5 years (2024/2025, 2023/2024, 2022/2023, 2021/2022, and 2020/2021).
- Financial resources, less financial obligations for current contract commitments, meeting or exceeding LKR 275 million.
- Participation as a contractor, Joint Venture partner, or Subcontractor, in at least one contract that has been satisfactorily and substantially completed within the last 7 years and that is similar to the proposed works, where the value of the Bidder’s participation exceeds LKR 1,000 million. The similarity of the Bidder’s participation shall be based on improvement works.
- Construction experience in the following key activities:
(a) 350 m3 reinforced concrete in 12 months between the period 1 January 2019 and bid submission deadline.
(b) 3,000 m2 Supply and Paving Interlocking Cement Blocks in 12 months between the period 1 January 2019 and bid submission deadline.
- Must show that it has the personnel for key positions and key equipment as given in detail in the bidding documents.
