Overview

Provide comprehensive and specialized support to projects implemented by the Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion (LMI) Unit at IOM Egypt. The role involves leading and coordinating project implementation, monitoring activities, and liaising with stakeholders.

Tasks Summary
  • Independently lead and coordinate project implementation.
  • Monitor implementation activities and analyze difficulties.
  • Research, compile, analyze and present information/data on developments.
  • Monitor budget expenditures and maintain financial records.
  • Coordinate financial, administrative and technical aspects of the project.
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct capacity building workshops.
  • Participate in meetings and conferences.
  • Coordinate preparation of correspondence and reports.
  • Identify and document good practices and lessons learned.
  • Supervise and provide guidance and training to reporting staff.
Experience Requirements
  • School diploma with seven years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas, especially labour migration.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
  • Knowledge of financial rules and regulations.
Qualification Requirements
  • High School Degree/Certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree in political or social sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish). • Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
