Overview

The Local Investment and Business Development Analyst will support the implementation of the Investing in SDGs: Renewable Energy in Moldova component, focusing on consolidating and expanding development impact by strengthening local investment and business development initiatives.

Tasks Summary
  • Support local investment and business pipeline development at cluster level by identifying and articulating complementary opportunities, facilitating consultations, and shaping early-stage concepts.
  • Facilitate partnerships, coordination, and integration with UNDP development finance initiatives by supporting coordination between LPAs and national stakeholders, and developing indicative investment profiles.
Experience Requirements
  • At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience (with a Master’s degree) or four (4) years (with a Bachelor’s degree) at the national or international level in one or more of the following areas:
  • business development or investment-related advisory support;
  • local economic or territorial development initiatives;
  • support to small and medium-sized enterprises, business associations, or local value chains;
  • applied expert support to development programmes or projects, including those related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, or sustainable local development.
Qualification Requirements
  • Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in economics, business administration, finance, public administration, regional or local development, or another field relevant to local economic development, investment, or development finance is required; OR
  • A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two (2) years of qualifying experience.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in Romanian and English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of Russian, Romani, Gagauzian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian and/or sign language, is an asset.
