Overview
The International Consultant will support the implementation of ongoing project activities in Timor-Leste and the development of new activities for the 2026 workplan. The role involves developing an export handbook on exporting from Timor-Leste to Australia.
Tasks Summary
- Submit monthly progress reports along with attendance records.
- Submit two export handbooks validated by stakeholders and approved by ITC.
- Conduct research into the implications of Timor-Leste’s admission to ASEAN and accession to the WTO.
- Provide implementation support to ongoing project activities.
- Develop two detailed “export procedure handbook” reports for Timorese businesses.
- Contribute to the reporting requirements of the project.
Experience Requirements
- At least four years of professional experience in international trade, law or a related field.
- Proven experience in trade compliance, customs, rules of origin and cumulation is required.
- Proven experience in developing trade compliance manuals is required.
- Knowledge of government structure in Timor-Leste desirable.
Qualification Requirements
Advanced degree (MA/MSc or other) in Law, International Economics, International Trade, Development studies or related field.
