Overview
The Project Analyst will provide programme and project management support, ensuring effective coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities in line with approved work plans, budgets, and UNDP policies and procedures.
Tasks Summary
- Coordinate preparation, implementation and revision of annual work plans, monitoring and reporting plans.
- Support coordination of the project team’s work, including review and clearance of terms of reference for project staff and consultants.
- Support project budget planning and monitoring.
- Provide inputs for financial and donor reporting.
- Ensure project compliance with UNDP Project Operational Policies and Procedures.
- Facilitate collection, analysis and interpretation of sector-specific data.
- Contribute to preparation of result-based reports.
- Facilitate project audit activities.
- Consolidate lessons learned and recommendations from evaluations.
- Maintain liaison with national partners.
- Maintain communication and coordinate activities with project partners and stakeholders.
- Provide technical advisory support to the Project Manager.
- Facilitate the establishment of a networking and partnership platform.
- Facilitate dissemination of project deliverables and guidance materials.
- Capture and document lessons learned.
- Contribute to relevant portfolio planning and support integration of project-related initiatives.
Experience Requirements
- Applicants with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) are not required to have professional experience.
- Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in project management and/or programme coordination, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
- Experience with UN/UNDP procedures would be an asset.
- Experience of working in international organizations/projects will be considered as an advantage.
- Strong experience in stakeholders coordination, coordinating the preparation of corporate, donor and government reports is desirable.
- Communication experience related to environmental conservation, climate change, sustainable development, humanitarian or other related fields.
Qualification Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Finance, Social Sciences or other related fields is required, or
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor`s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with additional 2 years of relevant experience will be given due consideration in lieu of Master’s degree.
