Overview
The Project Officer will contribute to the results-based reporting and documentation of programmes and projects, and support the development of new programmatic interventions.
Tasks Summary
- Contribute to the results-based reporting and documentation of programmes and projects.
- Support development of new projects and programmatic interventions.
- Support effective coordination with international partners, government, UN agencies, civil society, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to knowledge management maintaining accurate, updated, and pertinent records.
- Support in implementation of various project interventions.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in migration development programming or other relevant programmes;
- Experience with IOM is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization.
- Understanding of IOM operational procedures, rules, tools, and guidelines is desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of migration issues including within the national and regional context.
- Good understanding of key stakeholders and coordination dynamics.
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, among others), email, and internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment.
- Experience with IOM’s PRIMA (Project Information and Management Application) and WAVE (Oracle Cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning system) is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in International Relations, International Development, Political or Social Sciences, Migration Studies, Law, or a related field.
