Overview
To strengthen WFP Liberia’s positioning, resource mobilization, visibility, and accountability by leading and coordinating communications, partnership engagement, and corporate/reporting functions.
Tasks Summary
- Implement the partnership workplan to strengthen and diversify WFP’s portfolio.
- Conduct partner profiling, data analysis and outreach to maximize resource mobilization and policy support.
- Gather and synthesize partner intelligence to inform WFP’s positioning.
- Draft and coordinate high‑quality partnership products.
- Facilitate effective communication with partners.
- Contribute to the preparation or revision of partnership agreements.
- Oversee work planning, task allocation, quality assurance and workflow management for the Partnerships & Communications Unit.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues on partnership engagement, communications standards, donor visibility and reporting requirements.
- Implement the country office communications plan to strengthen WFP’s visibility, reputation and advocacy efforts.
- Produce and coordinate high‑quality communications materials.
- Lead content generation for social media platforms.
- Maintain and expand relationships with journalists and media outlets.
- Monitor and analyse traditional and social media trends.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for aligned communication efforts.
- Support emergency communications preparedness and response.
- Coordinate the preparation of high‑quality corporate and donor reporting products.
- Ensure the application of standard OIM & Performance Reporting procedures and templates.
- Collate, analyze and communicate Essential Elements of Information (EEI), political/humanitarian analysis and internal/external data.
- Coordinate closely with programme, M&E, logistics, RM, and other units to ensure alignment of data, narratives and performance information.
- Engage with UN agencies and humanitarian partners to ensure coherent and complementary information products.
- Support OIM and reporting capacity strengthening across the CO.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Demonstrated understanding of government, donor and corporate priorities, with experience supporting or contributing to the development of multi‑stakeholder partnerships.
- Experience identifying and pursuing new partnership opportunities, contributing to the design of tailored engagement approaches and supporting efforts to expand or scale‑up existing collaborations.
- Practical experience supporting resource mobilisation processes, including drafting or coordinating donor proposals, negotiation inputs, and providing quality support to senior managers.
Qualification Requirements
- Advanced University degree in Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, International Development, Development Economics, Marketing, Public Relations, or other relevant field.
- Or a First University degree with additional years of relevant professional experience and/or training courses.
