Overview
The Associate Registration and Identity Management Officer will oversee registration and identity management activities, ensuring data accuracy and supporting protection interventions and service delivery for refugees and asylum-seekers.
Tasks Summary
- Oversee registration and identity management activities, including biographic and biometric enrolment and issuance of identity credentials.
- Ensure registration processes are inclusive, efficient, and consider personal data protection.
- Ensure timely recording of vital events in proGres.
- Provide technical guidance, support, and training on PRIMES applications/tools.
- Monitor and evaluate registration activities against standard operating procedures.
- Implement data quality control activities for fraud prevention.
- Ensure refugee identity data supports protection interventions, case management, and assistance delivery.
- Provide technical support for registration and documentation activities.
- Facilitate access to services through trusted identity credentials.
- Strengthen collaboration with partners on registration and service delivery.
- Prepare population statistics as required.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Experience Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in refugee Registration and Identity Management, using the UNHCR Population Registration and Identity Management EcoSystem (PRIMES) or information management and data visualization tools and applications.
- Experience in the UNHCR refugee context is an asset.
- Experience working in the UN or other international development organizations is an asset.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Degree in Sociology, Political Science, Data Management, Business Analysis or Information Technology.
