Overview
The National Director will strategically lead, develop, and direct the implementation of all aspects of World Vision's ministry in the national office, ensuring high ministry quality and overall organizational effectiveness.
Tasks Summary
- Lead the team to achieve country alignment with World Vision’s global strategy.
- Provide oversight of Rohingya Refugee Response and guidance to Response Director.
- Ensure country operations maintain focus on Child Well Being Outcomes and Aspirations.
- Serve as Executive Director and Secretary to the Board of Directors of WVF.
- Foster collaboration with major donors, project partners, local government, Church representatives, faith-based organizations, and non-governmental organizations.
- Deliver on Child Well-being Aspirations / Outcomes and Targets.
- Grow and Leverage Yield to Ministry.
- Increase and Diversify Funding Portfolio.
- Achieve Operational and Stewardship Excellence.
- Recruit, Motivate, Equip, Lead and Retain Capable Staff.
- Act as a Twin Citizen ensuring National Office participates in global processes and decisions.
Experience Requirements
- 10+ years of senior strategic management leadership, preferably with a global organisation.
- At least 10-years experience in overseeing large Government grant, its acquisition, and donor engagement.
- Experience in one of the major Ministries (Relief, Development, Advocacy), close familiarity with the other two.
- Experience in fundraising and generating local revenue.
- Experience in Advocacy and public relations.
- Experience leading or working with advisory boards.
- Demonstrating experience of living and working in fragile context (economic, social, weather, etc).
- Experience in combining slow and fast onset programs.
- Ability to juggle emergency response with long-term transformational development.
Qualification Requirements
• Postgraduate degree in management or social sciences (regular course, not distance learning) (advanced degree is preferred).
