Overview
The Logistics Officer is responsible for supporting the logistics and procurement functions, ensuring efficient and compliant acquisition, management, and distribution of goods and services.
Tasks Summary
- Conduct and follow up daily operational logistic activities.
- Receive purchase Requisitions, get quotations, and purchase required items.
- Review and analyze procurement requests.
- Collect quotes from suppliers and prepare RFQs.
- Update framework agreement tracker and contract follow-ups.
- Log requisition orders in the procurement tracking sheet.
- Support in development of SOPs.
- Oversee the movement of procured goods to the warehouse.
- Initiate payments for supplies and prepare GRNs.
- Assist in conducting market research and maintaining a list of approved suppliers.
- Travel to field offices to support logistically.
- Inform the Logistics Coordinator of purchased assets.
- Support asset tracking and disposal.
- Prepare logistic reports.
- Coordinate receiving of parcels and equipment.
- Manage the fleet and maintain fleet data.
- Prepare daily and weekly vehicle movement plans.
- Check vehicles and assign appropriate types for movements.
- Coordinate drivers’ leave plans and training needs.
- Lead proper filling system/archives for procurement documents.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in Logistics
- Knowledge of Audit requirements
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related major
