Overview
Provide sustainable access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services in communities and to improve the enabling environment in schools and health facilities through technical assessment, design, and supervision of WASH facilities.
Tasks Summary
- Support the site assessment, KAP survey, quality assurance and documentation of progress of construction activities.
- Review detailed design and documentation.
- Prepare tendering documents.
- Construction supervision for quality assurance.
- Strengthen O&M WASH systems.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of responsible professional work experience in WASH infrastructure quality assurance and inspection, Programme management, monitoring and evaluation and/or knowledge management related to WASH, Environment and Climate programmes in Low Middle Income Country setting.
- At least 3 years professional work experience in the related field programmes in Uganda is preferable.
- Previous work experience in UNICEF or UN agencies is an asset.
Qualification Requirements
• An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in one of the following fields: Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental/hydrogeology Engineering, water resource management, sanitation engineering, project management.
