Key Responsibilities
  • Leads strategic Resource Mobilization from public and private donors.
  • Aligns funding with the Country Strategic Plan (CSP).
  • Cultivates strong donor and partner relationships.
  • Identifies Resource Mobilization opportunities domestically and internationally.
  • Manages associated risks.
  • Ensures capacity building of the Resource Mobilization & Award Management team.
  • Facilitates cross-departmental coordination.
  • Oversees implementation of the Resource Mobilization Protocol.
  • Maximizes the impact of growth-related income.
  • Advises on the formation of strategic programming consortia.
  • Guides analysis of potential partners.
  • Spearheads identification and cultivation of new funding streams and strategic alliances.
  • Drives development of domestic resource mobilization infrastructure.
  • Establishes and manages cultivation pipelines and long-term stewardship models for HNWIs and family foundations.
  • Serves as the focal point for strategic outreach and collaboration with major Chinese institutions.
  • Develops and curates a deep knowledge base on the partnership ecosystem.
  • Refines partnership models and resource mobilization tactics.
  • Contributes to targeted advocacy and communications strategies.
  • Supports the Country Director in building strong relationships and securing funding partnerships.
  • Engages on a strategic basis with institutional donors.
  • Cultivates and leverages a high-level network.
  • Represents Save the Children with key institutional, corporate, foundation, and other donors.
  • Develops and executes a stakeholder engagement plan.
  • Establishes and drives revenue mix targets.
  • Leads investment planning for domestic resource mobilization infrastructure.
  • Integrates revenue mix targets, risk mitigation measures, and infrastructure investments into the overarching Country Funding Strategy.
  • Serves as the strategic owner of the award management framework.
  • Directs the formulation and execution of an integrated communications, media, and brand strategy.
  • Oversees the development of strategic communication assets.
  • Ensures adherence to brand and communication guidelines.
  • Designs and leads high-visibility initiatives and events.
Required Experience
  • 10+ years as a development professional.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience building domestic philanthropic income streams in China or a comparable market.
  • Proven track record of engaging HNWIs and family offices, and securing funding from institutional donors, corporations, and foundations.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing brand positioning within regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic alliances and mobilize external resources.
  • Strong knowledge of current trends in Chinese charitable giving.
  • Strong commercial business acumen and risk management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues through critical thinking and analysis.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including influencing, negotiation, and coaching.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute constructively as a member of a senior management team beyond the resource mobilization remit.
  • A high degree of flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing needs, including willingness to adjust work practices and travel at short notice during emergencies.
Qualifications

• Relevant Master's degree or equivalent professional experience.
