Finance Manager Haiti Port Au Prince

Overview

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a Finance Manager for Haiti to ensure the financial setup aligns with NRC standards and to support programme/project implementation.

Tasks Summary

• Ensure country setup aligns with the Financial Handbook, NRC policies and procedures, and donor and auditor requirements.
• Ensure financial control mechanisms are in place and minimise corruption and financial risks.
• Maintain overall budget control and monitor cash flows and expenditures.
• Analyse the financial situation and propose or take action when needed.
• Manage NRC's bank accounts in Haiti.
• Work with managers to develop budget proposals.
• Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of project budgets for programme and support costs.
• Manage and monitor monthly allocations for support costs and staff costs.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience from working as a senior Financial Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context.
• Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
• Experience with start-up, exit, or similar, including experience in establishing new systems and procedures in start-ups.

Qualification Requirements

• Master’s degree / certified accountant.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal.

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of the context in Haiti is an asset. • Good knowledge of Haitian Créole is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 12 months (renewable subject to funding and performance)
