Overview

Implementation of Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) and Non-technical Survey (NTS) activities under the guidance of the NTS/EORE Supervisor.

Tasks Summary
  • Planning and coordination of NTS/EORE team activities
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the context, including types of Explosive Ordnance (EO) contamination
  • Lead implementation of NTS field processes
  • Analyze collected evidence and assess confidence levels of different information sources
  • Define initial boundaries of Suspected and Confirmed Hazardous Areas (SHA/CHA)
  • Make recommendations for land cancellation based on evidence
  • Prepare comprehensive NTS reports including maps, photos and coordinates
  • Build relationships with community leaders and local authorities
  • Conduct community needs assessments
  • Lead implementation of Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) processes
  • Organize and conduct direct and online EORE sessions
  • Conduct EORE Training of Trainers (TOT) for local stakeholders
  • Maintain the safety of the NTS/EORE team during field visits
  • Complete basic EORE/NTS documentation accurately and upload data
  • Liaise with DRC Humanitarian Demining, Victim Assistance, and other DRC sectors
  • Support procurement efforts
  • Support NTS/EORE Assistants in their work, contribute to their capacity development
  • Comply with all SOP and TMP
Experience Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in the NTO or IRVNP field.
  • Experience working with authorities, diverse communities, including children and adolescents.
  • Familiarity of data collection methodologies and reporting procedures in HMA.
Qualification Requirements
  • Certificate of successful completion of the NTS/EORE training is mandatory.
  • Completed higher education.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluent in Ukrainian language; basic English skills.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 3-month probation period with possible extension depending on performance and funding.
