Humanitarian Mine Action Officer (NTS/EORE Officer)

Implementation of Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) and Non-technical Survey (NTS) activities under the guidance of the NTS/EORE Supervisor.

Planning and coordination of NTS/EORE team activities
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the context, including types of Explosive Ordnance (EO) contamination
Lead implementation of NTS field processes
Analyze collected evidence and assess confidence levels of different information sources
Define initial boundaries of Suspected and Confirmed Hazardous Areas (SHA/CHA)
Make recommendations for land cancellation based on evidence
Prepare comprehensive NTS reports including maps, photos and coordinates
Build relationships with community leaders and local authorities
Conduct community needs assessments
Lead implementation of Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) processes
Organize and conduct direct and online EORE sessions
Conduct EORE Training of Trainers (TOT) for local stakeholders
Maintain the safety of the NTS/EORE team during field visits
Complete basic EORE/NTS documentation accurately and upload data
Liaise with DRC Humanitarian Demining, Victim Assistance, and other DRC sectors
Support procurement efforts
Support NTS/EORE Assistants in their work, contribute to their capacity development
Comply with all SOP and TMP

At least 2 years of experience in the NTO or IRVNP field.
Experience working with authorities, diverse communities, including children and adolescents.
Familiarity of data collection methodologies and reporting procedures in HMA.

Languages Required: Fluent in Ukrainian language; basic English skills.

Contract Duration: 3-month probation period with possible extension depending on performance and funding.
