Long Term Agreement (LTA) (2 years, home-based, remotely) for Engagement of Individual Consultants as Design Professionals

Overview

To engage design professionals under a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) to provide layout, design, and template development services for Global Reports and Investment Cases, and to collaborate with design project managers in producing graphics, charts, illustrations, and iconography.

Tasks Summary

• Design and develop templates for reports and investment cases, ensuring consistency and adaptability across languages.
• Design publications of visual assets at various length based on the project requirement
• Work with design project managers to translate complex concepts into clear, impactful visuals (e.g., infographics, charts, illustrations).
• Prepare print-ready and digital files, ensuring compatibility with various dissemination channels.
• Revise and finalize designs based on feedback from project teams.
• Ensure all materials meet accessibility and inclusivity standards.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated professional experience in publication design, template development, and visual communication with an existing compelling work portfolio is required.
• Demonstrated experience designing multilingual publications is required.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is required.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design is required.
• Ability to leverage AI tools and technologies in the design process to improve efficiency and effectiveness is highly preferrable.

Qualification Requirements

• An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: Arts, Communication, Graphic Design, Marketing, or closely related fields.
• Alternatively, a first level university degree in a relevant field combined with (2) additional years of qualifying professional experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Languages Required: • Fluency in English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of any other UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset

Contract Duration: three years. The initial period would be for two years with an option for renewal for a subsequent year
