Overview
To capture high-quality images that effectively document UNICEF Kosovo’s programs, support advocacy, and communicate impact. The consultant will provide high-quality and creative photographs to support the documentation, communication and advocacy needs of the UNICEF Kosovo Programme Office.
Tasks Summary
- Take high-resolution photographs (minimum resolution of 2000 x 3000 pixels: 6 mega pixels with zero compression in JPEG and/or PNG formats), according to UNICEF photography guidelines.
- Provide captions with locations and names for photos depicting 1-2 persons and small groups that don’t fall under the category of “mass.” Date when a photo is captured, and other relevant information should also be provided. All information, including the complete name of photographer, should be embedded in the metadata.
- Select the best photos related to each task (minimum of 15 and maximum of 30) in consultation with the Communications team.
- Photographs will be provided in raw format and optimized resolution via a file transfer service or an external memory medium.
- Photographs must be provided in high quality, suitable for printing, processing, or publishing.
- Obtain consent forms with complete information and duly signed by children’s guardians and stakeholders.
Experience Requirements
- At least four (4) years of professional photography documentation, processing and editing photos;
- Previous experience working with UN / INGO sector;
- Knowledgeable on ethical journalism & photography;
- Willingness to travel and be assigned in emergency mission around the Kosovo
Qualification Requirements
- Completion of university degree in Fine Arts (BFA) in Photography, Visual Arts or related field.
- Proven ability in photography and ability to assimilate and communicate complex visual messages in an engaging and user-friendly manner.
- Advanced knowledge and skills of MS Office, including Adobe Suites and other editing tools is required.
