Overview
The Programme Analyst - Social Protection, Inclusion will support the design and implementation of integrated interventions that combine social policy, inclusion, territorial development, innovation, gender equality and data-informed decision-making, while providing support for social and economic analyses.
Tasks Summary
- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of programme strategies and policies.
- Participate in effective management of the CO programme within the assigned thematic/sector areas focusing on quality assurance and risk management from formulation to implementation of the country programme.
- Support creation of strategic partnerships and implementation of the CO resource mobilization strategy.
- Support Provision of top-quality advisory services to the Government and facilitate knowledge building and management.
- Perform other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.
Experience Requirements
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience at the national and/or international level in providing management advisory services and hands-on experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development portfolios and projects within assigned thematic area is required.
- Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.), database packages, and web-based management systems such as ERP is required.
- Experience in qualitative research, particularly in public policies, gender parity, social protection systems, inclusion policies, economic and demographic trends and territorial inequalities is desirable.
- Experience implementation of integrated social protection and social inclusion strategies with national and subnational counterparts also through engagement with civil society, academia, and the private sector, desired.
- Experience mobilizing global knowledge and methodologies and applying to local contexts is desirable.
- Experience producing and / or coordinating academic papers or high-level reports on social services, community resilience, youth inclusion and care systems, and social and economic statistics is desirable.
- Experience with central and local governments accompanying different process like decentralization, participation, representation, transparency, integrity and methods support is desirable.
- Prior experience with UNDP/UN agencies or other international organizations is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, or related field is required or
- A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
