Overview

The intern will support programme implementation, reporting, coordination, and knowledge management within the Gender Team, contributing to global programmes and policy work.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support implementation of gender-related global programmes, including planning and monitoring activities.
  • Coordinate with UNDP Country Offices and provide support for global programme delivery.
  • Assist in organizing meetings, webinars, workshops, and virtual meetings.
  • Coordinate tasks independently with colleagues across multiple teams and time zones.
  • Research, compile, and synthesize information, data, and tools from diverse sources.
  • Support knowledge management by organizing, summarizing, and maintaining resources.
  • Assist in developing knowledge products and tools for gender integration in public administration.
  • Conduct gender-related research and data support, including desk reviews, data compilation, and preparation of visuals and summaries.
  • Support baseline data verification and enter information into Seal platforms.
  • Communicate clearly and diplomatically in written and verbal communication.
  • Draft blog content, storytelling pieces, visual materials, and support newsletter preparation using Mailchimp.
  • Plan and manage social media communications.
  • Manage and regularly update the Gender Seal for Development SharePoint and other knowledge-sharing spaces.
  • Support front-office functions, coordination processes, and meeting follow-up.
  • Assist with planning, delivery, and follow-up of internal and external events.
  • Strengthen coordination mechanisms and information flows across teams.
  • Perform other tasks as required to support programme implementation.
Required Experience
  • Master's Degree - 2 year(s) experience
  • Experience related to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with knowledge management, research, data collection, and communications is an asset.
  • Basic design skills (e.g., Canva, MailChimp or similar) for creating newsletters and communication materials.
  • Experience organizing online webinars or virtual events.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms, AI tools and data visualization tools is desirable.
Qualifications

• Enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s programme in international development, gender studies, public administration, social sciences, or a related field.
