Internship - Water Quality Analysis

The internship focuses on working with analytical techniques to support water quality analysis in various contexts, contributing to research projects related to chemical and isotope tracers.

Tasks Summary

• Assist with the operation of the ion-chromatograph for water quality data collection and evaluation of performance tests.
• Assist with the operation of laser spectrometers for collecting water isotope data and evaluate performance tests.
• Assist with assessing quality control processes for evaluating water stable isotope data.
• Assist with measuring samples for natural radioactivity and post-processing of raw data.
• Contribute to related training courses.
• Collaborate with data analysis, scientific presentations, and paper writing.

Experience Requirements

Experience in a laboratory environment.

Qualification Requirements

University degree in chemistry, atmospheric sciences, physics, environmental sciences, hydrogeology, or related field.

Other Details

Languages Required: Good written and spoken English essential

Languages Preferred: fluency in any other IAEA official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish or Russian) an asset

Contract Duration: 12 months
