Overview

Support the implementation of the Acute Care Transformation Through Basic Emergency Care (ACTxBE) Initiative in four countries. The role involves coordinating multi-country implementation, supporting data management, and facilitating communication among stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support design and implementation of final project plan.
  • Produce draft documents for multi-level governance.
  • Support development of country plans for ACTxBEC implementation.
  • Support facility readiness assessments and preparations.
  • Maintain and update a project tracker.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders.
  • Support mandated reporting.
  • Support establishment of organized document repositories.
  • Undertake site visits as needed.
  • Coordinate consolidation of country teams.
  • Report on trainings delivered.
  • Oversee multi-level data management processes.
  • Coordinate clinical data collection and management system.
  • Collaborate with the ACTxBEC educational team.
  • Support production of documents for ACTxBEC Education Bundle roll-out.
  • Support design and implementation of intervention guidance and resources.
  • Support design and implementation of cascade plan for intervention roll-out.
  • Support development and implementation of country plans for facility champion trainings.
  • Support oversight of intervention process and educational data management processes.
Required Experience
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in health systems strengthening, programme implementation, or monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience supporting multi-country or large-scale health programmes, ideally in Africa.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating implementation of training or research programmes in clinical or public health settings.
  • Proven experience supporting data collection, management, and analysis for health programmes or implementation research initiatives, preferably in low- and middle-income country settings.
  • Experience in overseeing standardized data systems, including data validation, quality assurance, cleaning, monitoring, and implementation of corrective actions across multiple sites or countries.
  • Experience analysing and reporting on programme indicators, including production of technical reports, dashboards, data visualizations, and actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders at global, regional, and country levels.
  • Experience coordinating capacity-building initiatives, including development of trainer, mentor, or facility champion networks, would be an asset.
  • Experience at WHO or another UN organization is desirable.
  • Experience working in international or multi-regional contexts is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Essential: advanced University degree (Masters) in health-related area public health, epidemiology, health systems, implementation science, medical education.
  • Desirable: A doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent).
